Terms of use
Last updated 6 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [Business name] (company number [number]), which runs Keel. By using Keel you agree to them. Please also read our privacy policy.
2. What Keel does
Keel turns your CV into a master CV, then makes a CV and cover letter from it for each job you choose. It uses AI, working only from the information you give it, and checks the result before you see it.
3. Your account
- You sign in with Google (or Apple, once we offer it). You must be 16 or older.
- One account is for one person. Keep your Google or Apple sign-in secure, because anyone who can use it can use your Keel account.
4. Your information and your documents
- You own your CV and the documents Keel writes for you.
- You let us use your information only to provide Keel to you, as set out in the privacy policy.
- Only upload information that is true and that you are allowed to use. Do not upload someone else's CV without their permission.
5. Check before you send
Keel removes anything it cannot find in your own CV and checks that the software job sites use to sort CVs can read it, but you must read every document before you send it. You are responsible for what you send to employers. Keel cannot promise you an interview or a job.
6. Prices and payment
All prices are in New Zealand dollars, wherever you live and wherever the job is: NZ$12.99 for a job pack and NZ$29.99 for a 30-day pass, which you can extend by another 30 days and 15 jobs for NZ$14.99, while it runs or up to 7 days after it ends. They include GST where it applies.
- Payments are taken by Stripe. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount and may charge its own fee.
- A job pack covers the full CV and cover letter for one job, your master CV without the preview watermark, and all suggested wording for your master CV.
- A 30-day pass covers up to 15 jobs within 30 days, with interview help and answers to selection criteria, plus your master CV without the preview watermark and all suggested wording. It does not renew by itself.
- Building your master CV, the CV check, one suggested wording, suggested lines for under your name, and, for each job, a fit rating, the words from the ad your CV already has and page 1 of the CV made for it are free, within daily limits.
7. Refunds
If you are not happy with a job pack or pass, contact us within 7 days of buying at keelcareers@gmail.com and we will put it right or refund you.
Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Limits on free use
To keep Keel running for everyone, we limit how many CVs we read and how many free previews you can make each day. On very busy days Keel may pause until the next day.
9. Fair use
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules.
- Do not try to break into, overload or disrupt Keel, or get around its limits.
- Do not copy, scrape or resell Keel or what it produces for others without our written permission.
- Do not upload anything unlawful, or anything that is not yours to share.
10. Jobs outside New Zealand and Australia
Keel writes CVs to New Zealand and Australian conventions. You can use Keel for jobs anywhere, but check that the format suits employers where you are applying.
11. Changes and availability
We may change or improve Keel. We work to keep it available but cannot promise it will always be running.
12. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time with Delete my data on your Account page. Accounts with no activity for 12 months are deleted automatically. Any unused time on a pass ends when the account is deleted.
13. Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits a right you have as a consumer that the law says cannot be limited. Otherwise, as far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect loss, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
14. Law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and New Zealand courts deal with any dispute. If you are an Australian consumer, you keep your rights under Australian law.
15. Changes to these terms
We will post any new version here with the date it takes effect, and tell you about changes that matter before they apply.
